UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center is a 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to improving the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of individuals with and without disabilities by partnering with the power of the horse. The majority of volunteers serve as leaders and sidewalkers in the horseback riding and driving lesson program for children and adults with disabilities. A training session is required for those interested in supporting students and the minimum commitment asked for is one hour, once a week, for a term, same day and time each week; no prior horse experience is required. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact or visit upreachtec.org.
They also have opportunities for group one-day volunteer projects. Examples of past projects include fence repairs, tack cleaning, trail clearing and maintenance, spring cleanup, painting, event preparation, and power washing to name a few.
