Responding to the needs of community neighbors is the primary missional focus, while also providing an opportunity for youth and adults to experience Christian growth through service to others. Participants combine their strengths and resources to meet home repair and maintenance needs for low-income, elderly and disabled homeowners who are physically or financially unable to make needed repairs themselves.
Youth from around CT state come together and sleep in a host church. Teams are sent off into the community to do repairs for aging and low-income homeowners. The evenings are scheduled with activities for all who attend, as well as time to connect with one another and create friendships that last a lifetime. No construction experience needed. United in Mission empowers all to come and learn new skills while serving our communities.
