Your local Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) are committed to educational outreach. By providing knowledge to the youth in our community, we hope to preserve natural resources for the betterment of our future.
The health and well-being of living things depend on all citizens being good stewards of Earth's gifts. Among those gifts are productive soils and clean water. One of SWCD's goals is to inform our youth about the importance of those two resources. We can positively impact their future by providing them with knowledge that will plant the seeds for good stewardship as adults.
There are many ways we accomplish that goal:
-classroom presentations
-providing educational resources
-competitions
