Robotics & coding classes and clubs are conducted for kids ages 7-13. Classes are designed to meet for 1.5 hours weekly for 4-32 weeks depending on the needs of the homeschool group.
Instructors lead the class in a short lecture followed by each student building a robot. Students then use their robot in an activity, competition or challenge. After the activities are complete, each student is free to modify their robot to improve the performance. Students build a different robot each week to learn new concepts in robotics and/or coding.
All coding lessons involve building then coding a robot using a proprietary verison of Scratch. Each session involves coding the robot to complete an activity. Basic coding concepts including sequencing, loops, wait statements and more introduced.
All equipment for classes & clubs is provided by RoboThink.
