Reins of Life is a therapeutic horseback riding center that offers equine assisted services to individuals with disabilities, veterans, special education classes, and more! We are primarily run by volunteers with a small number of staff. We are always in need of daytime volunteers who help lead horses, assist riders and students in equestrian lessons and during groups, and help with other needs. Anyone over the age of 13 is eligible to volunteer! It is an active, fun, and engaging place to volunteer...and a great work out! We have two locations in NWI, Michigan City and South Bend. Volunteering at Reins of Life requires a weekly commitment whenever possible. Schedules change sometimes but usually have some consistency. Because of the nature of our programs, all interested volunteers would need training beforehand as well.
