Education is fundamental to our commitment to conservation. Since the 1960s, the Zoo has offered engaging programs that educate our community about wildlife, help visitors feel connected to animals, and motivate them to take action to preserve the natural world.
Year-round programs for all ages bring the excitement of learning about wildlife. Tens of thousands of children and adults attend classes, programs, special events, birthday parties, camps, overnights, and outreach programs.
Opportunities to learn are throughout the zoo, from educational signs and interactives, to encounters with zookeepers. And of course, just watching our animals is an educational experience.
