Mental health matters, and it is important to find someone who can work with your child's behavioral or emotional concerns effectively. Play therapy interventions are developmentally appropriate to support youth displaying a variety of problems. At When it is Needed Counseling LLC, caregivers can anticipate that the counseling approach will be focused on the youth. Additionally, a variety of things will be considered— traumas (historical, intergenerational, racial, complex, etc.), ecological systems (family, work, school, media, legislature, etc.), and intersecting identities (gender, affectional orientation, race/ethnicity, disability, etc.) to understand concerns, issues, and circumstances that are being brought to counseling.
Children should live their best lives and play therapy can support them in doing so.
