In Drumlin Farm's homeschool programs, kids can explore the outdoors and experience life on a working farm while enriching their knowledge of the natural world.
From the forest to the farm, explore the variety of ways life returns each spring. Search the vernal pools for wild babies like salamander larvae, meet lambs and kids in the livestock pens, investigate eggs inside and out, and help seeds sprout in our garden beds to learn about life cycles. Observe pollinators and play the pollination game, build nests like a bird, play games about spring animal migrations, and do farm chores like milking and feeding the cows.
At Mass Audubon's Magazine Beach Park Nature Center, kids explore the outdoors in an urban wildlife sanctuary, learn how nature adapts in the city, and connect with wildlife. They will get to participate in hands-on conservation projects like invasive plant removal and wildlife monitoring, and learn from local partner organizations about how humans and nature can coexist and thrive.
This program is led by experienced Mass Audubon field teachers.
