The 32 acre Linwood Nature Preserve is an ideal field trip resource. Linwood offers three miles of user friendly trails, educational signage, and an ecology center featuring a nature oriented art gallery.
Redbud Project volunteers are available to introduce home school students to forest, prairie and wetland ecosystems; how the sun makes all life possible through photosynthesis; why native plants are essential in north Georgia; how rain gardens work; and how, through the O2/CO2 cycle, plants and animals depend upon each other.
