A perfect physical education credit for kids 5 to 13 years old! Our homeschool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program focuses on beginner self-defense techniques helping students develop gross motor skills. Additionally, this program will break down advanced principles, concepts, and techniques and incorporate the sportive aspect of Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling helping students develop fine motor skills by focusing on components like:
• Balance & weight transfer
• Muscle strength & endurance
• Awareness & coordination
• Breathing
If a young child is unable to do these everyday tasks, it can affect their self-confidence, ability to develop self-care and independence skills, and also their academic performance. By encouraging your child to participate in martial arts activities, you are providing them with an opportunity to practice using their muscles which is particularly important for children who sit down often.
The good news is gross and fine motor skills can be developed in lots of different and fun ways! Kinematic Martial Arts facilitates motor skills development by providing lots of encouragement and ensures the activities are the right challenge level and not too tricky!
