Home Grown Kids is a Christian co-op offering weekly PE, fun classes, and multiple field trip/enrichment activities monthly. While PE and classes are held in Oviedo, the almost 100 activities/events that happen each year take place all across Orlando and Greater Central Florida.
The group has a strong teen leadership program where teens gain valuable work and leadership experience while socializing as a group. The group's monthly events include: fellowship for moms, family events, exceptional teen events, educational outings, as well as events specifically for middle school, elementary, and "splash pad" age littles. The group operates as a true co-op, with parents involved in all activities.
The enrichment classes, called Connections Classes, cover subject areas such as arts and crafts, music, science labs, Speech & Debate, geography, Spanish, marketing, engineering, entrepreneurship, etc and are intended to connect learning, fun, and fellowship. Great effort is made to keep classes and events low cost, so that all homeschool families will be able to enjoy fellowship and not worry about fees.
