This resource provides students with dyslexia, related learning differences, and students who struggle with literacy one-on-one or in small groups of two. Structured Literacy/Orton - Gillingham - based academic therapy or Structured Literacy tutoring is offered based on individual needs. The services are rendered by a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and Reading Therapist with several teaching certifications and extensive educational experience.
Dyslexia is neurological and characterized by difficulty with fluent word recognition, phonological awareness, spelling, and decoding words. Reading comprehension challenges can be a consequence of dyslexia. Reading is typically slow and strained. Although dyslexia persists throughout life, many individuals learn to read and write very well with proper intervention, which is Structured Literacy/Orton-Gillingham - based academic therapy or tutoring based on individual needs!
