The Colorado Youth Pipe Band is a non-profit music education organization. It teaches the traditions of Highland bagpipes, drums, and dance to youth between (about) 8 to 18 years. It fosters appreciation, skill, leadership, pride, and camaraderie through performance and competition. No musical instrument or dance experience is necessary to participate and kids can join at any time during the year. Kids learn and develop Highland bagpiping, drumming and dance skills from experienced and supportive instructors in a fun and engaging setting. The band meets year-round on Monday evenings in Denver's Washington Park neighborhood. Uniforms and instruments are provided to band members. Families love participating in Colorado Youth Pipe Band because classes are multi-aged (only one trip to practice a week!) and families receive a tuition discount for three or more kids in the band.
