Celestial Strings Fiddle Studio: Lessons & Ensembles

Offering private fiddle lessons and group classes in North Portland, Celeste Johnson is a national fiddle champion and instructor with over 12 years of teaching experience. Students learn traditional fiddle styles including Bluegrass, Texas-style, Western swing, square dance tunes, and more.

In weekly ensemble fiddle classes, young musicians learn, jam, and perform traditional fiddle tunes together. Students grow their repertoire, improve their instrumental abilities, develop ensemble performance skills, and build connections with other young musicians during weekly class meetings. Chord charts, learning videos, sheet music, and performance opportunities are included for all students.
