Cardinal Stage focuses on nurturing a lifelong passion for the theatre in audiences of all ages, cultures, and economic backgrounds by investing in audiences of tomorrow and increasing access to underserved populations. In partnership with IU Credit Union, Cardinal Stage developed the Education Initiative in support of those goals.
Cardinal for Schools. This program significantly reduces the cost of admission so that school children can attend special weekday matinee performances. Cardinal Stage fundraises the difference between what schools can afford and the cost of producing the show. In addition, Cardinal Stage creates educational materials to accompany performances, specifically designed to meet curricular standards for the age group.
Community Access Tickets (CATs). Cardinal Stage works with social service organizations and Title I schools to provide free tickets to children and families who cannot otherwise attend a production. Cardinal Stage anticipates bringing 600+ kids and family members to the 2018-2019 shows absolutely free of charge.
Masterclasses. Cardinal Stage offers courses in scene study, improv, fight choreography, speech, directing, and more to children and adults periodically.
