Bridges Academy

Bridges Academy is a small group of middle schoolers, rising 5th – 10th, learning together from Cornelius, NC and led by a NC licensed teacher. Bridges Academy provides kids with a relaxed home learning environment, similar to the one you might provide in your own space for your children. The mission of this learning program is to inspire kids to go inside themselves to discover their passions, questions and strengths, while seeing the world around them with equal wonder, so they empowered to find their place in the whole and find balance in a world that makes sense in its simplicity. All core academic study, emotional/ social development and building of community is threaded through the exploration of essential life questions shared through projects developed by kids and guided by a learning facilitator. We use Harvard’s Project Zero, Making Learning Visible to support kids seeing themselves as unique individuals capable of critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity.
