Cons: Made in China (a BIG con for me). Too much in it.
Grades Used: Middle school
I really wanted to like this planner. I love planners and this one seemed to have it all. But, it had too much. I didn't need monthly articles; they got in my way while trying to get from one month to the next. I didn't need cute *tiny* shopping lists. I didn't need tear-out cards to give my kids for their assignments or schedules.
The biggest drawback for me is that it's made in China. China's factories watch their workers closely to be sure they don't have unapproved pregnancies. If the worker has an unapproved pregnancy (any baby past the first one which lives beyond 28 days is unapproved), she is forced to have an abortion. There are plenty of places in America which could make this planner.
Cons: The cover is too flimsy
Grades Used: 2nd
I have been looking for a good planner for a long time. I write big & so most planners don't work. These pages are just beautiful. I had to have it. It has a lot of things I am not using yet, but the lesson plan pages, & articles inside are terriifc. I wish the cover was made of a sturdier card stock because I carry mine around & already just since school started it is already looking worn. Also would recommend they put pockets & a contacts page. Still overall, I love mine!
Cons: "fill it in" e-book option is hard to use
Grades Used: Middle School
I have the "Well-Grounded Middle Schooler" e-book planner for my son. It has good information for him and I like the e-book version so I can print out only the pages he needs. However, the "fill it in" option in the e-book, where you can type in your calendar events, is really hard to use. It does not use the typical Adobe fill-in options. I get around it by saving the PDF in my PDF filler program, then opening it that way. It takes a lot of time.
I printed my own copy of the planner and comb bound it so my son would have the printed pages and I'd have the electronic pages to view.
