This course is literature-based and designed for Christian education. The materials are based on novels and integrate the separate parts of language arts: spelling, vocabulary, grammar, and writing, as well as critical thinking and communication. As the readings are completed, students complete worksheets, writing assignments and engage in supplemental activities. The teachers materials are included in the study guides. The materials of the program include the novels themselves supplemented by study guides.

Cons: you spend many weeks on one book--kids get bored easily
Grades Used: 4th up to high school
In some ways, this would be a great curriculum because it includes vocabulary, grammar, as well as literature study, reading comprehension, discussion, projects, and critical thinking from a Christian perspective. But, because some books take weeks to read and study, my kids got bored quickly and wanted to move on to a new book without finishing. I found that using this actually encouraged us to NOT finish a study.
