Streams of Civilization is a two volume set of history stretching from Creation through 20th Century American history. The material gives both evolutionary and creationism points of view for natural history and a Judeo-Christian perspective for world political history. The texts also include a list of important words and concepts at the end of the chapter as well as suggested projects and a reading list.

Cons: shape of books; "dated" illustrations
Grades Used: middle school
We used Streams of Civilizations as core books for our history/literature curriculum. They are easy to read and have great content. My son and I are visual learners, and the illustrations in the books are "dated" and need some updating in revised versions. The shape of the books ("landscape") makes them hard to hold and read, but would be great for those reading together on a couch.
The books hold their value well for resale. Several homeschool curricula use the series, so people are always looking to purchase them.
