Eielson AFB/Ft. Wainwright Home Schoolers
A group to help connect homeschoolers from Eielson AFB and Fort Wainwright (plus the surrounding civilian areas are welcome to join). We gather together to network, meet other homeschoolers, share ideas, socialize etc. Hikes, park days, game nights, group science experiments, field trips, and tours are some of the activities that our members may set up to name a few. Monthly Support group meetings are the 4th Friday of each month at the EAFB Chapel. Although we meet at the Chapel, we are not affiliated with any particular religious organization and people of all faiths are welcome. At meetings we make announcements of local events, field trips we may organize and time to share our experiences/concerns as homeschoolers.

A group for Interior Alaskan homeschooling families who do not participate in state charter school programs. North Star Independent Homeschoolers have created a wonderful network of parents who freely offer and share their expertise, assistance, and friendship to other group members. In addition to this, the children in our group benefit from the many opportunities they enjoy, such as: field trips, a traditional band, socialization and friendship development time, presentation time, and lots more!
