Homeschool hiking/biking annual event
May 23, 2010 - May 29, 2010
The homeschool hiking/biking annual event began in May 2005 as a way to gain recognition for homeschooling as well as getting some exercise, group involvement, and introducing homeschoolers and their families to hiking and biking in the great outdoors!! It is an annual event now and will be held each year the last full week in May all across the United States. We are asking for individuals and groups involved in homeschooling to set up events in their areas. Built in commemoration of Kenai’s 200th anniversary, the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center is one of the premiere cultural attractions on the Kenai Peninsula. Alaska Free Homeschoolers
Supporting and helping Alaskan parents perform their God-given responsibility to train their children through home and private education.



Eielson AFB/Ft. Wainwright Home Schoolers
A group to help connect homeschoolers from Eielson AFB and Fort Wainwright (plus the surrounding civilian areas are welcome to join). We gather together to network, meet other homeschoolers, share ideas, socialize etc. Hikes, park days, game nights, group science experiments, field trips, and tours are some of the activities that our members may set up to name a few. Monthly Support group meetings are the 4th Friday of each month at the EAFB Chapel. Although we meet at the Chapel, we are not affiliated with any particular religious organization and people of all faiths are welcome. At meetings we make announcements of local events, field trips we may organize and time to share our experiences/concerns as homeschoolers.



Fairbanks Homeschoolers
Where Alaskans from Fairbanks, North Pole, Salcha, Fox and outlying area homeschoolers can get online support, discuss homeschooling, trade curriculum, announce events (even garage sales) with only a few rules.



Valley Christian Home Educators
VCHE is a group of Christian home educating families residing in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. This email list, as well as the support group, is intended to provide a vital communication link between Christian homeschool families in the valley and encourage and support each other in our goal of homeschooling our children.



North Star Independent Homeschoolers
