International Quilt Study Center & Museum
The International Quilt Study Center & Museum is located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, at 33rd and Holdrege Streets. Visit the new museum to enjoy the world-class collection, first-class exhibitions, a virtual gallery, and experiences for all ages. The Center houses the largest publically held quilt collection in the world. The 3500+ quilts date from the early 1700s to the present and represent more than 25 countries.
Nebraska State Historical Society
The Nebraska State Historical Society collects, preserves, and opens to all, the histories we share. The Education Department coordinates tours of the Nebraska History Museum, creates and distributes teacher resources, and is the first place for teachers to get help with history questions.

Wagon Train State Recreation Area
Wagon Train is a 315-acre Corps of Engineers watershed impoundment with 746 acres of land. There are 70 non-designated campsites. Wagon Train Lake is located 2 miles east of Hickman. This area offers boating, fishing, picnicking and a swimming beach.
Verdon State Recreation Area
Verdon offers primitive camping and picnicking. The highlight of Verdon SRA is its spring-fed, 45-acre lake. Renovated in 1998, the lake is filled with chunky, hard-fighting largemouth bass, as well as bluegills, white crappies and channel catfish. Only electric boat motors are allowed on the lake.
